I’ve studied the martial way since 1979 training in tae kwon do and tang soo do until taking some time off in 1984. In 1986 I studied aikido for 4 years before joining an organization that taught tae kwon do and tang soo which I started instructing for in 1993 until I semi retired from instructing this past August.

I used to instruct Tang Soo Do until some as yet un-diagnosed joint disease forced me to retire. I was the only instructor who wasn't anti-gun. Even the mention of firearms was frowned upon. Miss the art not the people!

Working on my black belt in judo to officially become an instructor.

Shyster -

Plenty of good judo clubs in metro detroit - Saito's in Birmingham, Troy Judo, Oakland University, Jerry Wee @ Macomb Y, Lake Orion Judo Club, Neil Simon in Oak Park.

Grab a Konan Mat Pass and try some of the clubs out.

I am a licensed instructor in jujutsu (traditional Japanese, not BJJ).

I am a licensed instructor for Martial Tactical, which uses a lot of modern weapons including, tactical lights and pens, lanyard, baton, and firearm (the firearm as a melee weapon, retention, and disarms).
