Good Luck, I saw some birds last week in front of my range. No tag this year though.

Good luck! I may have to get an over the counter and try my hand at the new parcel of land I now own up near gaylord. I hear its not as good as it once was, but I may be able to run into a bird or two.

I'm confused with the turkey license in MI. I'm in Gratiot Co., but I see the DNR lists ZZ and ZA for me. What is a "hunt number"? And what is Hunt 234? Can someone advise me please? TIA

i hunt in merrill and get zz or za.

ZA is mostly in your area and ZZ is for the lower part of the state(larger area)

if you plan on hunting this year,i think you have to have your license by may 1st.

we always register early($4 in feb)and always get the first hunt, its either the first week or the first two weeks....after that they seem to disapeer.

here is the dnr website http://www.michigan.gov/dnr/0,4570,7-153-10363_10958_10969_12072-268065--,00.html

ETA: do it at a hunting store and not miejers....its just a cluster at a miejers

So how does it work? I just go to walmart and ask for a turkey tag and they give me what they have? Or do I ask for something specific?

sorry didnt see your reply,go to a sporting goods store and tell them where you live and they will give you your options....most meijer and walmart people working the sporting goods section usually dont have a clue .....if you are in alma, try drop tine arcery in alma.
