These federal officers are already exempt by Federal Law. Michigan doesn't need to recognize their credentials.

When is the state legislature ever going to pass legislation that benefits me too?

No more special classes. Individual rights are universal for all individuals.

At this point, wouldn't it be easier on our legislature to simply propose that all non-prohibited individuals, licensed or exempt from licensure, are exempt from the concealed PFZ's, except for:

(a) ...

(b) ...

(c) ...

Just remember that Rick Jones is the committee chair that held up SB59 last year with no action ever taken in committee. Then Sen Green took it to another committee and got it out of committee and passed the senate during the last days of the legislative session thus Gov Snyder was able to veto it knowing that there wasn't sufficient time for a veto over ride.

Jones must have a retired fed buddy he wants to impress because he sure hasn't impressed me.

Bingo. If people write to tell them they need to Eliminate PFZ's for ALL CPL holders instead of trying to hodgepodge their way to 'safety' for a few special groups of people, I have no doubt we'd either:
A) Know who to support or not in the next election cycle
or
B) Actually get something positive done at the state level as we were able to at the Federal level

We really should push for Constitutional Carry and leave the CPL process in place for people who travel out of state. That would end the majority of this nonsense.

While you are at it make sure you mention that they support SB 288 and SB 289 that will get Humane soc and others out of MI game management.

Many dont like the DNR but imagine the voters doing game managemant--ie doves and maybe wolves. What is next??

Well, when I had a meeting with Jones about SB 63 (as in, push it through), he indicated it probably wouldn't pass, and it was more of a statement than anything.

Nice to know...

It's nice they can vote on SB 48 which allows contact with small bears under 90lbs; but nothing meaningful has occurred with firearms rights or taxes.
