They forgot to include bullets, primers, powder, and brass.

After all, since they cant be in possession of firearms, ammo does them no good. And if they can't have ammo, neither does bullets, primers, powder, or brass...

Plenty of time to propose meaningless legislation and no time for meaningful Pro-Gun legislation...

Worthless...

So are the three RINO's that are sponsoring these bills.

Just what is it that these bills are supposed to accomplish? Are they just trying to create additional felonies to tack on when some is already convicted of a crime?

I also see that they assigned it to a committee that the primary serves on. I would think that, that is a conflict of interest.

Heise is chair of the House Criminal Justice Committee. He also serves on the Judiciary (http://gophouse.org/representatives/southeast/heise/); Elections and Ethics; and Transportation committees.

I didn't realize we had such a problem with felons that had ammo.

Just what is it that they are doing with the ammo that we need to put them in prison for?

How does it hurt anyone if a person that wrote a bad check 50 years ago transports some ammo for his grandson to the range?

If those pass, I wonder how many people won't be able to continue selling ammo here. ;)

Which would then require something like a FOID card?

I would suggest that we STRONGLY oppose this one.

:yeahthat:

It would be far better to pass some meaningful legislation that would benefit honest gun owners and hunters. The RINO's seem to have forgotten the people that put them in office, hopefully for the last time. Like a compost pile that needs turning over to be productive it is time to do the same with some legislators.

We were supposed to get "something" when they put CPL fingerprints in AFIS. The MSP was going to throw their support behind major gun rights legislation if MCRGO agreed to support the MSPs plan to treat every cpl holder as a suspect in every crime committed in the state. Still waiting on the good stuff we are supposed to get...

I have tried to find out who is lobbying for gun and knife control. My RINOs won't come clean, though. I don't believe they passed this to get pro gun votes, later. I think they sold US out to get opposition votes on something unrelated, earlier.

I feel like Charlie Brown depending on Lucy to hold the ball just one time. Next time this "Charlie Brown" runs at the ball I am going to kick "Lucy" instead of the ball. Anyone who supports this crap doesn't deserve our support at the ballot box.

We need to learn why these gun control lobbiests are so much more effective with the republicans than we are.

Can someone clarify for me. So did one of these pass that prohibits a felon from owning any firearm ammunition?

It all passed and you can sleep well tonight.
You now know that when that felon down the street from you steals his next gun he won't be able to buy ammo for it because it is against the law for him to have any.

A week or so ago I was in Dundee Cabelas. As I was looking at primers I noticed a guy fingering the ammo. He was a felon. As soon as he seen me his eyes got huge. I started talking about the prices and he said "Thats all over for me". He walked around the corner, got his friend and they made a B-line to the exit. A felon looking for ammo means he has access to a gun. I see straw purchases and MORE useless legislation on the horizon.

I was buying ammo 35 years ago and I don't remember ever having to sign for ammo.
You were to sign for handgun ammo!
