Michigan Archery Tags Question

So I just purchased my RES Archery Tag From Cabelas.

This Grants Me Either A Doe or A Buck With A Bow During Bow/Gun/Muzzle Season , Correct?

If I wanted to get a 2nd (with my bow), I would have needed to buy a Combo licence correct?

I just wanted to see if there was a way to get a deer during archery and get another during gun/muzzle season

res archery is only good for a buck in bow season. Then you can buy a res firearm in gun season.

if you buy a combo you can shoot a buck and a doe in archery or two bucks in archery, or a buck or doe in archery and a buck in firearm season.

you can not take a doe in firearm season with a combo license though.

I always buy a combo so i am set for both seasons.

A resident Michigan archery deer tag is good for 1 buck or 1 doe, your choice..Only during the archery season from Oct.1-Nov.-14 and Dec.1-Jan-1...If you choose to bow hunt during the firearm season you will still need a res. firearm deer tag and all rules and regs must be followed as if you were gun hunting, hunter orange and so on....I usually buy a doe tag and use it during archery if I want to harvest 2 with the bow..

another question

in order to get a combintion, i would have to pay the 30$ and then my archery tag would be void? or can i purchase 15$ gun and that will in-essence make my 2 tags a combination?

You made your choice for this season when you bought the archery tag. A combo tag can not be bought now.

The gun tag will allow you to hunt with your bow during rifle season if you so choose.

The benefit I see in a combo lic. is you can take two bucks in bow season or gun season, your choice. Without the combo lic. you can only take one buck in each season.
