I just attempted reading the Michigan 2013 hunting digest, but still have questions.

How many deer can a youth hunter take during the 2 day youth hunt? Is it lawful to, for example, take one with a bow and another with a firearm?

that's a good question, don't remember reading that in the guide either. I assume its just the filling of the 2 tags one being a doe if on private land

I know I'm a bit late here but during the youth hunt, at least as of last year, you were only allowed to take one deer of either sex. If you had a combo license you were still only able to harvest one deer that weekend.
