got me a gun safe!

been meaning to get one for a long time now.I finally got it together today and did it.

picked up a Liberty from gander mountain.Franklin series 35.

well me being cheap,I did not want to have to pay the $400.00 they wanted for delivery.
so I got my friend down the road to help me.
it would of been nice if they could of put the safe in the trailer standing up,but out it came on a pallet jack, and with 3 workers they put it on it's side and up into the trailer.
all the way home I'm thinking how am I going to move almost 800 lbs. of safe off this trailer.

well we used every tool I have in the garage to do it.
car trailer holdowns,2 floor jacks, and even my engine hoist.
once we got it out of the trailer and standing upright it was easy.

Appliance Dolly and a couple friends can work wonders...

a good fridge / moving dolly helps a great deal. fyi most safes have a removable door if you open it straight out it will lift off of the hinge pins. the door can be fun to get back on but it does reduce the weight for moving it up/dwn stairs.
nice safe by the way.

Awesome. Nice job. I had to pay a cartage company to move mine to the basement. Cost me $250 in addition to safe, but I would have never done it on my own.

That Liberty is a beautiful unit.

I don't think you're gonna like that safe. Just go ahead an load it back up and bring it over to my house. I'll hold on to it for ya! Nice safe :p

I have the same model safe. It's my favorite. I paid Able to deliver. I'm glad I did.

some models the door will come off, takes a fair amount of weight off the safe.
