Martial Tactical Training of Michigan and the Martial Science Center are offering a joint Personal Protection 1 training.
Participants will learn how to protect themselves from common attack styles, including strikes and grabs, by using simple, effective, and easily retained techniques to escape or neutralize the threat. Focus is on using modern protective devices, such as the kubotan, tactical pen, tactical flashlight, and other items with similar form factor in a striking (percussion) application and their use in escaping from common grabs and grapples.
WHO: Anyone age 14+ interested in gaining personal protection proficiency. Previous experience not required.
WEAR: Loose, comfortable clothing conducive to a moderate workout.
FEE: Attendance at this seminar is free, but a donation of $25 or more is appreciated, which will benefit a local women’s shelter.
