Apprentice hunting

its almost a last minute deal. i was told i could hunt with a apprentice license. for what i read you just purchase one... but doesn't say where. can i just walk into meijers or dunhams and pick up a kill tag?

Depending on what you're hunting, you may be able to purchase it on-line. Otherwise, any place that sells hunting licenses will sell it. Dunhams, Meijers, etc.

I don't believe so, but look in the hunting guide on the dnr's website. There is a section on the apprentice license.

Not present when you buy the tag BUT must be present when hunting...

I tried to buy one today from Walmart and the guy had no idea what I was talking about. He was looking through the licenses online and didn't see one listed as apprentice. Looking through the DNR site I don't see one listed as apprentice either.

Any thoughts?

Also, if you go into the E License site, you will see them there. Not sure why they wouldn't be able to find them.
