Not bad width for a 4-point.

Question to OP: Is the thermometer on your cam accurate because I know none of mine are even close.

The second pics were taken by a Moultrie M-80 and typically seem to be within reason; the first couple by a Bushnell Trophy Cam and it's a warranty replacement for my last one (which was also a warranty replacement) so I don't have enough data on that one, although the temps seem accurate to me.

Jackam-nice pics. I see your Moultrie feeder in the pics; what size is it? I bought the 55 gallon steel barrel feeder last year and was pleased with it's operation. The spinner/motor failed but they replaced it at no cost with exceptional turnaround time.

That's 55 as well, I believe. Holds about 135 pounds of corn.

I have three on my property. One motor quit on mine as well but I found a wire to the motor had vibrated off. Who did you contact for replacement?

I wish the spinners on mine threw the corn out a little further. It meets state laws but only by a foot, while depositing a lot of it just below the feeder.

I am using a NuWay trail cam this year. I REALLY like it.
My other cam is a Stealth Cam.

I also have two Plot Watchers which I think are the Cat's Meow!!!
(The plot watchers come on at daybreak and take a pic every 5 seconds for the whole day. These pics are then viewed as a movie. It's REALLY cool!)

What are you guys using and how do you like 'em?

I contacted Moutrie directly. The motor has a lifetime warranty on it. Their customer service is great; they ask your zip code when you call in and after having you logged into their system have asked me, "Is this David?" Kinda spooky the first time that happens.

I'm not familiar with the laws you are referencing (in terms of minimum distance?). Are you able to raise it up a bit? That may help. Mine came with three legs which work as a tripod. The feeder is pretty high; probably about 5 feet to where the spinner is located.

I have a couple of the Wild Game Innovations IR4cG (or something like that) and they work ok for what I spent on them. The trigger isn't real great so they probably miss a most activity unless it's close.

I also have a couple of Moultrie M-80 cameras that do a pretty nice job. One feature I really like about them is that in video mode, the camera takes a single picture and follows up with a video capture. This makes it easy to punch through a bunch of pictures of grass/leaves blowing in short order, rather than watching the start of every video clip.

My other camera is a Bushnell Trophy Cam HD. I bought this camera as we had issues with theft in our blueberry orchard and I wanted a camera that had the plotwatcher mode but also one that would take a picture if the sensor tripped between scheduled pictures. This feature works well but I'm not sure I would buy another Bushnell as this is my 2nd replacement in two years.

The sensor is crazy sensitive and has no apparent correlation between the setting (high, medium, low) and the sensitivity of the sensor. There have been times where I've had 15,000 pictures of nothing that should have tripped the sensor. It's a known issue with Bushnell. I suppose the good news is that they are pretty good with warranty replacements, although it generally isn't very speedy.

That being said, I haven't yet had that issue with this particular camera. It takes really good pictures and the LEDs are blacked out so it stays hidden a bit better than the Moultrie's, which have LEDs that glow red and are quite visible at night.

This photo definitely needs a caption. :D

The pic is from last year but every time I see it I envision a buck following right behind her with a dozen roses under one arm and a box of chocolates under the other. :naughty:
