Martial Tactical Training of Michigan is offering our Personal Protection 1 training this weekend!

This curriculum is optimized to instill skills for the average person to survive an assaultive encounter. It is technique based rather than strength based, and exploits the weaknesses and advantages of the human anatomy for effectiveness. By study of this approach, trainees can maximize their escape and protection potential against an assailant.

This seminar features a collection of protection actions and escapes from common engagement methods of an assailant. These include, but are not limited to grabs, embraces, chokes, and strikes. Heavy emphasis is placed on striking techniques to further enhance protection effectiveness.

Instructors of MTTM assist the trainees in the application and understanding of the techniques demonstrated. Techniques presented are selected for their adaptive application of empty-hand or weapon-based implementation. Other topics covered include:

Survival mindset
Criminal psychology on target selection
The use of weapons and mundane items used as weapons
The use of force spectrum

We had a scheduling issue, so this class is going to be put on hold. Trainees that enrolled have been notified individually. If you were planning on attending 'at the door', we will be posting a new session for this soon.
