Managing Confrontations

Do you know what to do if approached by a potentially violent aggressor? Can you tell the difference between an aggressive panhandler and the beginnings of a true criminal assault? This course will give you a framework for understanding these interactions and a pre-fight overview. You’ll finish the course with a solid framework on what a fight will look like, how to deescalate the situation, how to know deescalation has failed, and how to give yourself the best chance of winning without a devastating legal aftermath.

Details
Students in this class should be willing to learn and have an open mind. Bring a pen and paper for notes and a handout will be given that denotes the high points. This is a physical class, but not a physically demanding class. We’ll be moving around, yelling, talking, role-playing, and acting. Bring trainer weapons if you would like, but we won’t be using live weapons at all. There will be a break before we start on combatives where everyone will remove live weapons. We will work around any amount of mobility issues or injuries and the ability to fight will not be tested or examined. You are even able to simply watch demos of the ideas if you would like.
This class will be held at Watervliet Rod and Gun Club at 3413 Hennessey Rd. on Saturday, December 14th 2013 from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Cost is $75.00 per person with discounts available for extra family members. Please reserve your spot by calling 269-470-1659 or email info@paladincombatives.com.
