If you haven't done an Appleseed yet you are missing out on some of the best rifle marksmanship instruction you can get at a bargain price. It is fun, educational and great for both beginning and advanced shooters. If you've never taken a rifle class before, you need to do this and if you want to expose someone to the shooting sports and teach them safety, confidence and competence you need to bring them to an Appleseed. It is fun for the whole family. Did I mention we have cool history?

Next class is at Bellevue (near Battle Creek) on Dec 21 & 22 and the at Lapeer* on Dec 28-29

Schedule and more info is here... http://www.appleseedinfo.org/search-states-display.php?qstate=MI&statename=Michigan

Info about appleseed in general is here www.appleseedinfo.org

*Lapeer has a covered and heated shooting line. Slots fill up fast so register early.

Would a rifle marksmanship class make a good Christmas present? Heck yeah!
In fact you can buy an Appleseed Gift Certificate at a discount off of next years prices.

Great deal....go here http://store.rwvaappleseed.com/page10.html

Not filled in yet but it is/will be here

I think it safe to say that there will be multiple shoots in Lapeer, Fenton, Watervliet, Bend of the River/Niles, and Center Line/Bellevue. I know for sure there are shoots scheduled in Twin Lakes, and Marlet. We typically also have shoots in Lansing, Houghton Lake, Dundee and Eaton Rapids. Perhaps also in Gaylord this year.

We are always looking for farms, land, or other ranges to hold shoots on. If anyone knows a safe place to shoot we can bring the program to that location.

I know that the Board at Lapeer has approved dates. I know where they are listed, at least I have access to them. But it is not my prerogative to do this. It needs to come from "Caliper". Then again, since he has just taken up the mantel, he may not know that he needs to transfer the info from LCSC to Appleseed.

Which reminds me that I have to get ready for tomorrow. If I remember I will give Caliper a nudge when I see him.

Yeah, I noticed that. Odd restriction. So many forums to post in, so little time..

I assume that there will be other locations than Lapeer posted as they are availible?

There is this planning calendar, but it doesn't look like they are filling it in fast. There are a couple of more dates on that. I am sure that more will get slotted in as the ranges get their calendars for 2014 inline.
