I have a RRA Entry Tactical AR-15. I'm a lefty. I'd like to switch out the safety with an ambidextrous safety. Is this something I can do myself, or do I need a gunsmith? I am very handy and have the necessary tools, I just haven't done anything with any of my guns besides clean them.

Any advice appreciated!

Read up on the assembly and disassembly instructions on AR15.com. Everything you need to know is right there to study.

You can very easily do this yourself, just read the instructions and look at the pictures until you know how things are going to come apart and go back together.

This covers assembly, reverse the order to disassemble .

Working on your AR is not only easy but saves money and gets you familiar with how it works. Post any questions and I'm sure you can be walked through it.
