Agreed - If anyone has a pic of the entire gun, I sure could use it!

For this particular drawing to be held at the Holiday Fun shoot, you can only earn entry's by volunteering to work MGO events held through the year.
1-shift worked earns one entry, this is for the volunteers who worked events in 2013.

No, not for this drawing.

There is a gun show next weekend, but it will go on to next years drawing.

I would suggest that you keep an eye on the Events Announcements forum, calls for volunteers will be posted there for events in 2014, I can't tell what area you are in, but hopefully we will have something you can attend, I hope we see you at a event next year.

What do you think Carl do I post the whole gun pic or do they have to attend or wait for a pic with the lucky winner?

Admittedly I am a tease. I have the gun ready to deliver to the fun shoot for volunteer drawing as SeeTee explained but I just wanted to tease with the engraving. Also a HUGE thank you to Veritas Machining LLC who did this year's engraving at a reduced cost and a super compressed time table as the firearms were not here as early as past years. Phil has been GREAT to deal with and the work I have seen is top notch.

I say make us wait and let the winner post the first pic!

I do have my name in the "hat"!
Please please please! Lol

Well, we usually sleep part of the day, and work part of the day.

But I probably put my fair share of hours in to be sure.

In my opinion, the only forum volunteers that should be eligible for this would be the ones that get hate mail, the ones that have to put up with insults, and the ones that get derogatory nicknames from certain forum members. Oh wait.... that's all of us! :)

Is there ever going to be anything, that we can see, telling us about the gun OR the winner?

I don't have a facebook account, and what ever has been posted is not in public view on MGOs' page.

1st, there was a problem with the calendar, the great MGO admin. staff got on it and fixed it quick.

Yea, Roundballer, I don't do facebook either, but this is the picture I found for you about the winner & GOY, you do remember the MGO member that looked like TM?

Seems strange to give the 2014 one away for services rendered IN 2013.

I'm confused about that too...

I think this is the 1st of 3 for 2014 and the drawing was done at the last meeting/fun shoot since it was middle of Dec.(close enough to 1-1-2014) and the next meeting was/is Feb. 2014 which was probably deemed to far away for the drawing.

^ that's my guess...

Utpd?? proposed and the BOD adopted a Gun of the Year program several years ago with the idea of "limited editions" to 3 per year for fundraising raffles; BUT the state at that time was not issuing state wide orgs raffle licenses (they may be now, application pending) so when at a later date we had the idea of a volunteer give away, the volunteer got one of three and the years have always been one year off for that. It takes time, especially this past year or two to get three consecutive numbered firearms.

Bottom line, no rhyme or reason just moving the year as each class of firearms are chosen, engraved and used as the BOD directs.

A BOD committee selects a new weapon each year. There are only 3 purchased and engraved. Usually we have purchased through the FNRA banquet committee to get their pricing but this year to get an AR when we needed it for the engraving we went direct to Johnson's in Adrian who REALLY helped us on price as we are a 501c3 (and all around good guys despite what everyone here posts  ) They also helped with the B4K and Pure Michigan Hunt gun donations as posted above. THANK them if you are in Adrian and stop in.
