Neat idea, but not really a safe. More like a glorified security cabinet and way too much money for what you get.

^^^ I was thinking the exact same thing.

I'll bet it's incredibly thin sheet metal usined in the construction. If a small, lightweight securety cabinet is what you want, save some money and buy a Stack-on.

I just got this back from them

"It is made of 15 guage steel" which is a bit over 1/16"

The issue I have is the stairs to my basement is too small to get anything bigger than a 24x24 safe down. I did not want to buy 2 small safes.

well, there's always a Zanotti, which is beefier than 15 gauge, but last I heard the waiting list is over a year.
