Specific phone calls are needed in the Senate regarding the DNR budget TODAY to protect the proposed invasive species initiative, which is a priority of the conservation community.

As you will recall, the Governor proposed $6 Million for a comprehensive invasive species initiative, the House approved $5M (with the understanding that the CPWM initiative would add another $1M), and the Senate Approps approved $6.17 Million.

However, there are some floor amendments being discussed in the Senate that could divert this funding from it's original purpose and water down its effectiveness to protect our natural resources from invasive species and combat those already here.

Please call your Senate members, and ask your members to do the same, with the following request:

Please support the DNR's Appropriation Bil-SB 774 (S-1) as recommended with no further amendments!
