AR10 Scope

I am looking at scope options for an AR10 308Win. I will be using the gun for mostly paper punching @ 100yds and 200M but would like to expand to hunting eventually. I am looking at 2 options right now but open to suggestions. Looking for thoughts, the only criteria is Cabela's has to carry it. (I have a bunch of reward dollars) So my budget is max $300. The two current options are:

1. Predator Quest 6-24x50 Matte TruPlex

2. Bushnell® AR Optics 1" Riflescopes 4.5X-18X

I am leaning toward the Predator just for magnification power but the length and weight. Thoughts...

The .243 Winchester ArmaLite AR-10 I use for varmint hunting has a plain vanilla 3 - 9 x Burris FullField II in IOR Valdada rings. No BDC, but it works well, holds zero, and fits your budget. My 7.62mm AR-10's all have Trijicon and IOR Valdada scopes which are beyond your threshold of pain. Don't think that a 7.62mm AR-10 is any harder on a scope than a .243 AR-10.

Will after Going to cabelas this morning I end up with a vortex diamond back 4-12 40mm normally 300 on sale for 199 after cabelas club cash got out for 75 out the door.

very nice , I was reading the post and was going to recomend the vortex line. seems to be good quality and nice glass for the prices on them . :thup: follow up with your review of the scope , enjoy
