I need to know what grain broadhead I should buy for my bow. I shoot a Jefferies mag hunter takedown recurve 54'' long, 55-60 lb pull using a 27-1/2'' easton 2114 xx78 superslam with 5'' feathers. My Easton catalog says right arrow and lenght but no grain weight for correct broadhead. I'm looking at buying a 140 grain magnus 2 or 4 blade broadhead. Does anyone have a broadhead chart or correct total arrow weight for this draw length and poundage? Thanks

Same weight as your field point.

The deciding factors are draw weight, arrow length, arrow spine. Some folks will tell you that the vane length will have an effect. It does, but it's minimal. While they add weight they don't affect shaft spine much. It's been a long time since I had my archery business, but it strikes me that a 2114 isn't stiff enough for that setup. Looking at the chart, that is confirmed. The closest you will get is a 75 grain tip with 54 lb draw and 27" arrow.

Notice how it's 1/2" off, 1 lb. off, etc.? Very close. You can try it with a 75 grain point, but buy cheap ones until you know how it'll fly. Short of that, you're going to need to:

Reduce draw weight, or
Shorten the arrow, or,
Get a stiffer shaft (my recommendation)

If you want to use a 100-125 grain tip, look at the 2215 for an ultralight or a 2117 for a standard weight. For a lighter broadhead a 2213 would do it.

IMO its a matter of what you practice with and prefer . 140g sounds heavy for that set up to me and would be better suited for a crossbow. 100 or 125 is usually what i shoot.

2117 with a Muzzy 100.......your good to go.
