Did any rules change using a pistol carbine in the shotgun zone for hunting deer, I have an old 44 magnum carbine like to use, thought i heard some changes in rules

i have been told it has but have not seen anything officially so i will follow this one. i was told it has to be straight wall pistol type cartridge larger than 30 cal. so you should be good to go.

A .35 caliber or larger rifle loaded with straight-walled cartridges with a minimum case length of 1.16 inches and a maximum case length of 1.80 inches.

This is case length NOT loaded cartridge length.
357 mag 357 max and 44 mag would be fine

i figured someone would already have a link. the length rules out a lot of pistol carbines.

Yup!

And the stupid thing is that a 9mm Beretta CX4 Storm carbine IS legal in the rifle zone, but NOT in the shotgun zone because it is considered TOO WEAK. And yet a 9mm pistol IS legal in the shotgun zone. - What a crock of bovine excrement!

Here we see the elitist mindset at work.
