I wished we had a ton of info on the park, it would be nice to take the Trailer to this one for Publicity purposes and ease of transporting everything, but only if we have easy access to the pavilion would it make sense.

Maybe "Magnum Man" will chime in on that!

From looking at the map, parking is right near the pavillon. That is part of the reason I chose this location.

Yes, you "should" be able to park right by the pavilion.

EDIT: Thanks for the correction.

I might make it or at least stop by. Is it a family event?

might not be worth it. State Park in BC is in the middle of nothingness. Parking is easily visable from the road and the road out front is winding so people focus on the curves rather than a lot. Up to you though. I can take pics if needed. I live here.

Thanks for the info, Sir......If you have time and don't mind taking some pictures, I for one would appreciate it. You going to stop in and have a Hot Dog on MGO?

The picnic site one is tucked back in the corner and the trailer won't be seen from the road either.

Unless you had site four or five, I wouldn't pull it up unless you were hauling stuff in it or want people to see it while bringing it up.

It is always nice to have at the events, it has the tables and Merchandise in it and it makes it easier than someone having to stuff it all in their car.
You bring up a good point about people seeing it on the way up.............It's cool to have people pass you, blow their horns and wave to let you know they support what we are doing, at least I think that's why they are doing it, lol!!

Here is where number one is at, looking from the road. Tip of arrow, on the other side of two rows of parking.

I checked with Bay City State Recreational Area today and found out that you will need a Recreation Passport to bring your car into the park.

If you already pre-paid for a passport with your license plate renewal in the last year(it was an extra fee), and you tags are not expired, you should be good to go. Also, if you have purchased a Recreation Passport window sticker in the last year and have not had to renew your tags since then, you should also be good to go.

Otherwise, you will need to get a Recreation Passport from either the contact station at the enterance to the park, if it is manned, or the headquarters across the road.

The Recreation Passport is $11 and is good until your plates expire.

More info on Recreation Passport. (http://www.michigan.gov/dnr/0,4570,7-153-10365_55798---,00.html)

You going to stop in and have a Hot Dog on MGO?FYI MiBear on here runs the Auburn Range on Saturdays. There is free range shooting 10-4 on Sat. Maybe we could talk to him and see about an MGO shoot from 4-5PM?

We could always mention it at the picnic if his answer is affirmative. Indoors or out?

Chance of scattered showers. It will take a lot more than that to dampen the spirit of diehard Michigan gun owners.

What gets more exposure - FB or here?
I would think it prudent to show everyone on the forum the pics. I don't know how many people just do the facebook gig, but there are many people here.....

That brings up a question. What does the term "Members 42,309" actually mean? (Computer Illiterate here)

It means that there are 42,309 forum accounts.
"MGO Members" would be included in that count (i.e., Forum Members + MGO Members)

I just know that people do share our facebook stuff with friends and its good exposure.

Thanks Dave!
