My 11 year old son hunted during the youth hunt the last two years but was unable to this year do to his appendix rupturing. He is finally able to bunt but is having a time time getting close enough on state land from a ground blind. I can pay a small fee up to about a $150 I'd prefer someplace with box blinds and where he can get a shot at 30 yards or under if bow hunting or a 100 yards or under for rifle.

I'm still looking and with rifle season right around the corner rifle hunting out of a box blind would be another option as long as there are deer and it's not overly expensive.

Any success?

No I haven't had any replies. If I can find a place for the late archery season that will be great.

I know he doesn't have a real bow, does he have a muzzle loader?

I wish I woulda seen this thread in October.

You can come hunt my backyard blind, I have a large blind with wood stove heat although I have not seen any deer since the beginning of rifle season. Also have not seen any deer on the trail cams either. Not sure it would be productive and I am down here by Lansing.

He only has the crossbow but muzzle loader would probably be an option too.
