Looking for suggestions on what to put on my new toy, assuming I am looking at shoot deer with it.
Thinking maybe a simple 4 power scope or a red dot.

For deer hunting in Michigan's woods, I'd go with a fixed 2X. Nice wide filed of view, very bright, easy to hold steady, plenty of reach for the range of a .44 MAG.

I like a vari x II 2-7x33 for short distance shots where light gathering at dusk is a benefit. Nice and compact, doesn't add much bulk or weight to a smaller gun.

I went with a leupold 1-4 with the pig plex reticle for my wife's .44 it's a sweet little package

Out to 100 yards a 4 power is great...hard to beat a nice Nikon 4x

Awesome, that's what I bought for my deer rifle.

For the money I really like the Bushnell legends and the Nikon Prostaff 2-7 for short range guns like the pistol cal, muzzle loaders and shotgun. Easy power adjustments. I don't like the legend fast focus ring with flip up covers because the covers spin. I also like a scope with a 75yd parallax also.

Look at some Turkey scopes, Simmons Pro Diamond 4X32mm works great on my 77/44.

Reticle is easy to see and fast on target.

I have a sightron 1.5x6 with a good size objective, I want to think a 38mm objective. Actually, I bought one of these scopes for my 44 mag rifle and thought it was a awesome scope so I got another for my black powder rifle. Is is brighter then my leupold vxII 2x7x33 and works very well.

While I am not enamored with the 44 mag as a rifle deer cartridge, it is legal to use in the lower half of the lp and I did get two deer with it.
