Here are pics of the recent work I did to my G19. I reduced the grip by removing the palm swell, did a high-grip mod, opened up and reduced the finger swells and rounded the trigger guard. I then stippled the frontstrap, backstrap, and trigger guard. It fits my hand like a glove now!

It looks great!!! I might be tempted, but first... what tools did you use?

Used marine epoxy to fill the hollow cavity behind the magwell, dremel tool for shaping and reducing, wood burner with chisel tip for stippling and a fine sanding cloth for smoothing. Easy project and I love the results. Fits my hand like a glove and looks better in person than in the pics IMO!

It looks like you may have shortened the mag well a bit... did you?

No, the backside is just a tad higher from the grip reduction.

I just can't bring myself to do that to a GLOCK. I'm one of those guys who has bought the HK P30, HK P2000 and the Walther P22 and every other few days I switch grips back and forth because I can't make up my damn mind which I want.

Having to do this to a Glock is the reason I don't buy them. The stock grip is the most uncomfortable (to me) grip I've tried.

If Glocks had grips like M&Ps or XDs I'd own a bunch because of their reliability. The 21SF is almost bearable.

Nice job, though!

I shot well with my Glock (well, I'm great so I shoot good with any gun :badass: :D) but we just went to the H&K P2000 which has four different sized back straps and it is night and day with our officers shooting. Now that I can change a grip out so the gun fits each individual's hand better it's WAY easier for me as an instructor because they can actually hit stuff!

Are you with the DHPD? Did they switch to H&K from Sig? I've got to admit I was pretty fond of the feel of the P2000 when I held it, wasn't quite as impressed with the price though.

No, I'm Federal... DHPD still has the Sig I believe. H&K are pricey but as we bought 30,000 of them we got a group price I'm sure :D

I thought Federal agencies were carrying .40 cal Glocks. Have they all changed? I know I did see an I.C.E. guy at Jimmy Johns recently and noticed he did not have a Glock in his holster but I thought it was a Sig.
