December BOD meeting & annual Holiday fun shoot along with the gun of the year drawing. 12-18-2015

This year the 2016 Gun, is a Henry Golden boy lever action .22

We will have a number of door prizes to give away-you must be present to enter and win.

Meeting at 4pm, range time after the meeting, the meeting will go to maybe around 5:30 then then drawings and range time.

At Firingline in westland

Always a fun event, free range time too.

Feel free to bring a holiday treat to pass along !

This is a fun time, bring the family, friends welcome, you need not be a MGO member to attend, We welcome all, for all the new members on the forum please stop by if you can.

Just a bump for the event and a shout out to new members from this past year this is a great time to come on out and mingle with fellow members, note you need not be a member to attend, family & friends welcome.

There is no charge to attend! did I say free range time! and great people to meet!

The Holiday Fun Shoot/ BOD Meeting is always on a Friday. We cannot get the Range on Saturday Evenings, it has been this way since at least 2010 to the best of my knowledge.

The Holiday Fun Shoot/ BOD Meeting is always on a Friday. We cannot get the Range on Saturday Evenings, it has been this way since at least 2010 to the best of my knowledge.
Sorry. My memory doesn't go back a year let alone "years".

What is being raffled? Guns? You can do 50/50 raffles of $100 or under, no license required.

I know this sounds bad, but I've never been to a BOD meeting or an MGO fun shoot. Is there anything special I need to bring? For the fun shoot, are all three of the ranges at the Firing Line open to the MGO or just one?

You can fix that bad ;) the special is people! bring yourself and anyone else you want and / or a Holiday treat to pass ( but it is not required ).

For the fun shoot we usually get one pistol range and at least one rifle lane, depending how busy it is.

A couple of questions:

Is there an agenda for the meeting, and will it be posted prior to the meeting?

Does the Firing Line allow holstered sidearms to be taken to the range, or do we need to have them cased? I can always call them, but I thought I would ask here first.

Lastly, will the Henry be available on Friday, so that I can take it home with me? I just know I will be the winner!!!! (And, I am very happy the gun of the year isn't a girly Glock ;) )

I had a fun time tonight, great to see everybody and put some fresh faces with screen names, I hope everyone had a good time too!!

It was my wife. This is for Taylor Pistol Club's charity raffle which will be drawn at the PPC Banquet on 1/17. 5 firearm and 1 TV are on the prize list. Benefit is Pinkerton School for Blind in Taylor MI.
