I'm intrigued!

I'm sure it's gen 1 NV, but I've never seen one with high magnification.

Hmmm

I'd really like a trustworthy review on it before jumping in...

Decent newer reviews on Amazon and $30 cheaper.

Seems to have been less impressive before some software fixes, NV is stated as Gen2+ and Gen3 by some.

They also have 2 more higher power versions.

ATN thermals are pretty good, but ATN's night vision is pretty lousy, as they tend to mostly use low quality foreign tubes with low levels of amplification and low resolution.

My advice would be to steer clear of ATN and Armasight until you get into the higher end stuff. Please understand that Gen 1 Night Vision anything is pretty lousy. The Gen 1 Cascade scopes are usable, but they are very large and heavy. Just the tube is about the size of 20oz soda bottle. You will likely want a suitable IR Illuminator if you buy "budget friendly" night vision gear.

This thread might better explain some of the visual differences.

Be aware that there are plenty of complaints. I've tried 3 different ones. This is a very nice daytime color scope that records beautiful video. It lacks manual brightness and contrast settings and has an auto dimming feature that makes less than desirable at night for me.
