Myself and a small group of guys are discussing the possibility of an out of state bow hunting trip. Our likely destination so far would probably be Ohio. I have health problems that make long car rides difficult, so traveling much further is pretty much out of the question. We all have fairly limited funds, so we are trying to do things on a budget. This will probably mean camping and eating at camp.
We picture making 2 or 3 scouting trips of 2-3 days each. We hope to take a one week hunting trip during the rut.
So have any of you folks done this sort of trip? What advice do you have? Specific counties? Places worth checking out, places to stay away from?
Feel free to point out anything that I might find useful.
