Dude you need to be more specific. Do you want an adjustable optic? Do you want mil/mil or moa/moa? What is your budget? How far are you planning on shooting? What is the primary use for the optic?

The Simmons 22 MAG 3-9X32mm, is not too expensive, and a solid all around performer.

I have a Leupold VX-II 2-7x32 on mine. I don't plan on shooting over 150 yards, I didn't want anything heavy and I didn't want to ever spend money on replacing the scope on that gun. Find a good used piece of glass with a lifetime warranty and if you can find ammo, shoot and enjoy.

funny you should mention, I just put a 22mag 3-9x32 AO scope on my 22mag (cheap bushy met its maker). seems alright for the price and has a 30 dollar rebate currently, making it 45 bucks shipped from amazon after rebate.

I have a Cabela's Rimfire 3 - 9 x 40 mm and I'm very happy with it. Have one for 22 mag and another for 22 LR. They compare very favorably with my Redfield scopes that cost nearly double.

I went with a Nikon prostaff BDC 150 3-9x40. I also have prostaff 3-9x40 EFR. I am still playing with both to figure out what I like best for the mag. I am using the BDC right now.

You might want to look at something with a lighted radical for night hunting with a fine hair. A fine cross hair at night without one would be less than ideal. With an illuminator an average size cross hair is better than a fine in my experience.

The Nikon prostaff rimfire target EFR is a good scope for the $. It is plenty fine with a mill dot and adjustable objective. Nikon usually runs sales sometime between now and spring. I got one last year fit about $145.
