Anyone have experience with Clearidge scopes? I like that they are reasonably priced, a Michigan company, and made in Japan at the same factory that produces Weaver. I'm looking for a scope to top off my 17WSM for nighttime coyote duty. Thanks

I have a ultra xp5, nice scope with good clarity. only downfall is it is very long and extremely heavy. If I were to do it over I would go with a Burris or Nikon..

I have no experience with the scopes you are looking at. But my advice to anyone buying glass is this:

Buy a good used scope from one of the big names that has top notch warranty coverage. In a mid budget scope that would be Burris, Leupold, and Vortex. They are essentially a no questions asked warranty. Nikon is almost as good with their warranty, but they are not as quick and easy to get warranty claims taken care of.

This way you get an excellent scope with forever warranty and often save 30-50%

I have bought most of my scopes used in the last 3-4 years and have not had any problems that would make me go back to paying full retail. The only reason I buy new is if I cant find what I'm looking for right away, the I will order a new one.
