Long time, no post. Haha. I just picked up a new FN SPR A5 20" .308. I want something around 16 power with matching turrets/reticle (mil/mil or moa/moa). My limit is 1500, although less would be fine. Also looking for quality rings. I have a 1000 yard range right down the road, and am planning on using it regularly for 800 yards. Any opinions are appreciated. I also prefer FFP.

Well at the $1500 budget you have plenty of options. Going to boil down to your reticle preference more than anything. You can get a used Bushnell 4.5-30 used and rings for under that. You get locking rings which would keep you from turning the turrets if you do a PRS style competition, like I did at BWSA during the championship which cost me a bunch of points. The Burris XTR II has gotten great reviews as far as glass quality goes, and it's ruggedness. Then you have the Viper PST, which is the cheapest of the models and works just fine. You can probably also find a Gen I model of the Vortex Razor. You may even be able to find Steiner that is used for around the $1500 price mark.

As the previous posted stated at $1,500 you have lots of options. Outside the Burris XTR II line which has received great reviews, here are a few more to consider in no particular order.

The new Nightforce SHV 4-14x50 F1
The tried and True Bushnell 3.5-21x50

For a couple more hundred though you could get these:
Stiener T5XI 3-15x50
Leupold Mark 6 3-18x44
