I look at as, "who cares" one bit. Yea they have a name, but there are so many better optics than a Mark 4 out there in the same price range.

Are they scrupulous enough to create a "buy it now" fervor and change their mind later? Or it could be they are focusing production on new models, and want to reserve a limited production for those who might already have it on an approved buy list.

Just really sure what field was leveled through the availability of the Mk 4 line.

My opinion is they have the MK6 & MK8 and will soon cease production of the MK 4. I think it's just a marketing gimmick to sell the stock they have.
