Okay MGO Members, we are having a booth again this year at Outdoorama and need the booth to be staffed. Generally, two hour shifts work the best, and that is our requirement. You can get in for free and enjoy the show, while giving a bit to the organization. PLEASE feel free to work with us as MUCH as you possibly can, the MGO needs your support.

There will be plenty of "seasoned*" members there to show you the ropes.

Our Booth Number is 5521
We will provide a list of "workers" to the staff at the event and leave "passes" at the WILL CALL DESK.
We can arrange for you to get a parking pass for $10.00 for all four days if you'd like. PM Tallbear if you need that pass.

When we get closer to the event one of us will PM you for your full name for passes at the will call desk.

No problem. I know those first two days are the hardest to fill in those time slots. For Saturday I cant gurantee the time but that you have there is pretty close.

Hey RSF,,, are you going to be there with those Turkey calls? I know someone who wants one plus if you want I can send you the pics of that tom my daughter and I got using that call to bring him in. Kind of a testimonial type thing. Let me know.

ShowSpan hasn't returned my call about day/time of classes. I asked for Saturday.......we'll see. Last year it was VERY late that they got back with me.

The building capacity is greater than 2500, so I would have to say that CC is not an option, unless you are exempt.

When I worked it last year seen no signs anywhere prohibiting and as far as I can tell it doesnt fall under a CEZ. I'm told they do prohibit carrying a loaded gun during gun shows likely for insurance purposes during those events but from all my reasearch they are CPL freindly.

And I agree, this isnt the place for OC or that policy may change unless you had an OC booth type thing with information to hand out etc. But that may not be allowed either or at least not loeded.

Gary wouldnt you go by seating capacity? Wouldnt think building capacity is an issue.

Thoughts anyone?

I took an impromptu survey around the office and the general consensus was it was a gray area. While there is nothing that confirms either argument, I try to lean to the side of caution.

The reason I said "capacity" is that if seats were in place, it would be much greater than 2500. I am trying to approach it from the "reasonable person" angle.

There wouldn't have to be signage that indicates it is a CFZ; however, the patron is expected to know.

Joe's Tavern that makes a living with quarter drafts is not posted either. LOL

If you decide to carry...you are the only one who should know you are carrying. ;)

CC should be no problem, many have at past shows. We've had this discussion for the past several years. As stated above,
The time is not right for OC at the show grasshopper. Please have patience. Put me down for my "usual" shifts of Thurs & Sat, sometime after 2-3pm. I could do Wed instead of Thur, if that fits better.

Considering that the show starts on Thursday, Wednesday would not work better.

I am not aware of your "usual."

I will be glad to put you on the schedule from 3pm until ? for Thursday and Saturday.

Thank you.

Thanks to all the people who have stepped up to assist at the event.

For the first time that I can recall, we have filled the schedule and will be all set with volunteers for the booth. So, rather than have the booth filled with too many people, we have decided to close the schedule at this time.

The west side event is still open for volunteers, contact Tallbear, and there will be plenty of events in the future.

Thanks again and we'll see you soon!
