If you want to save some money, Just go up by Onaway and Hunt the state land between Highway 68 and Black River Road because we have got a few nice Bucks out of that area and always saw deer when we hunted there, We hunt some farmland in the Thumb by marlette and Clifford now, We still drive up through the area a couple times through the summer and see deer, Turkeys and even Elk right by the road, Also we will be up around Onaway October 2nd and 3rd to just look around and try to get some pictures !!!

There is a lot of "state land" in Arenac County.

Most areas I see don't seem over hunted except rubber hill.
