Looking for an inexpensive spotting scope. Just an average all around scope for the range.

Any tips or direction would be appreciated.

I have a Barska 30X60....it works for me. Bought it off of Amazon, don't remember the price. No problem at 200yds with a 45/70, difficult on a 223 but works.

I have been using a Baraka 20 -60 X 60 straight eyepiece for a couple of years. The glass really isn't that bad, the eye relief sucks. I will be upgrading this year because I use it in HiPower matches and the eye relief with glasses on is a pain, and I also want an angled eye piece. Under $100 it will be hard to find better glass.

I have had great luck hitting pawn shops here in central MI. Found several really decent spotting scopes and cost was in the $50-$70 range. The one i purchased has a tiny black spot when you look at a long range target located at the bottom of what you see. Does't obstruct the view but it was objectionable to original owner but perfect for me,,,,,,especially the price....... when I looked up a new one at Cabela's it was $289.00 plus tax,,,,,,,, you can find great pricing at local gun shops if you have the time and patience to wait........ and they are always (IMO) willing to negotiate on the pricing.. good luck.

I just got this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002CTZ70/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I really like it. They do have a 65mm that is $134. You might be able to find it a little less somewhere else.

I have a BSA I picked up on CL. It sucks. But that's what you get for $30.

I already used a lot of spotting scope (https://lifeundersky.com/best-spotting-scope-for-the-money-reviews/). Everything from the cheap Burris $75.00 unit to the SWAROVSKI and the Hendsoldt. The Vortex is are great and the price is very good. They are not the top dog but they will do the job for most shooters.

Vanguard Endeavor HD is the one I'm considering. They have a long eye relief which is important, and even more so if you wear any kind of glasses! It also has a course, and fine focus adjustment!

65mm objective, 15~45X, angled viewfinder
