SKS without Bayonet lug

I bought a SKS some years back that the seller had removed the bayonet lug. I am wondering if the effort is worth it to order a new one(thinking about resell value)?

Some were removed either in China or by the importer. IIRC, had a spring thingy to retain the cleaning rod. Adding a lug and bayonet not worth the effort-and could be technically illegal.
