I have a stack on safe, not even a real safe just the sheet metal unit.

I have a goldenrod in it, I want to see how well it works. Amazon optics planet etc gave some cheap hygrometers are any of them any good?

This one is pretty decent. Although I've had 2-3 of them in the same room together and they all varied about 5-7%

this showed up today, seems nice, it has a magnet, it has 24 hour memory and all time memory for highs and lows. Tap it and the light goes on, then goes off on its own. Seems nice.

Devices of this type have come leaps-bounds in the last 25+ years. I have a barometer/hygrometer hanging on the wall right in front of me. It currently shows 17-18%(older w/ dial readout-not digital) humidity.

It currently shows 17-18%(older w/ dial readout-not digital) humidity. I find that I now have a goldenrod, a hanging desiccant that is rechargeable by plugging it into an electrical outlet every 2-3 months, and a big Liberty can of desiccant on the floor of the safe. It may sound like overkill, but my Hygrometer show humidity is kept in the 40% range year around. Guns are expensive, desiccant is cheap.
