What have you guys with multiple military pattern rifles including bullpups and pistols with braces find works best? I have a 6’ safe with the pretty standard divider down the middle and three rows on either side. Setting the top board that the muzzles point through low enough for the shortest guns can make it difficult to get the taller rifles with fixed site blocks to fit in addition to looking goofy with all of the excess space above them and the hassle of removing firearms from the back row.
Has anybody figured out a more efficient way to store them? I’ve searched around a bit on internet but haven’t found an efficient way to store short rifles in a tall safe or short rifles and braced pistols with full length ones.

Might need wall space for those. Can you attach pegboard to the door?

I added 1/8th inch dowel rod down the barrel of the shorter rifles. The retail safes are setup for shotguns and deer rifles. I use these two types hangers to keep shelf space.

I use the same under shelf pistol hangers but had to cut them down and tig them back together to fit the shelf in my safe.

I have the full length rifles leaned way in to the notches, and have the bullpups stood up flat against the wall under them. It’s awkward, but i trust it a lot more than having them stand on a shelf to reach the notches.....but that’s because my safe interior kit, for some reason, has plastic shelf clips instead of steel.

I bought a set of the rifle rods based on your post. I agree that they keep the rifles from banging in to each other. But with varying length rifles, the shorter ones are not supported that well, and I if I arrange them so they do not collide into each other, I can no longer fit them all into the safe and get the door closed. If all the rifles were similar length and they all stayed in place better, I think they would work well.

And then, stack all your gun cases somewhere against a wall? I current have my guns in the cases, inside the safe. Just feel that they are better protected. But, of course,, things are getting a little tight and I might have to take the pistols out of the cases and onto those hanger rods.

I use the cardboard tube from wrapping paper and drop that over the barrel of short rifles. Cut it to length to reach the to barrel notch in your safe. Label with marker name of rifle. :flag: stay safe :D
