Whitefeather edition ?

I have never heard of a whitefeather edition

Whitefeather edition is actually the new sniper weapon system M-25 rifle which was given the whitefeather edition in honor of famed Viet Nam Marine sniper Carlos Hathcock. He started out with the model 70 30/06 which IIRC never had the "whitefeather" honor.

I would love a pre-64 '06.

I figered it had something to do with him but mine was made when he was 4 years old way before his white feather days

I was refering to what he actually carried, not the commemorative. The pre-64s are sweet, I'm just partial to a little different cartridge.

I never get up north for deer hunting,to many nice big bucks down state that taste better, but heres my big game rifle .300 win mag remington 700 police with leupold VXII tactical 3x9x40.
Used to be fun to shoot at long distances but too expensive to have some fun with anymore.

Mossberg 500 in 12ga

Ruger 44 carbine used to be.

Maybe this year it's going to be an AR15 in 7.62x39 with a red dot, and 16" barrel. M4 stock collapsed for still hunting through the cedar swamps.

For shotgun zone, Mossberg 695, 12 ga. bolt, with Bushnell 3200 1.5-5, shooting Lightfields.

This rifle is only a few months old so no blood on it yet....well, just one groundhog.

Its a lightweight Rem 243. It weighs in at 6.75#'s all up and is a joy to carry. I'll have it punched out to 243AI here shortly and it'll be my go to rifle once deer season rolls around.

Hey John, how long 'til your 223AI comes back from Karl?

The K man called me the other day to give me an up date, name one other smith that does that. And told me then it was about 3 weeks out, that was last week I think so Im looking for "the" call around 1st week of May.

I need to get wit Mr Seekings and get a base coming pronto so Karl can durakote the same color.

Once its done we gotta go to the 1k range, plus I need a turret lesson.

How is you're new 223AI working out for you?

I prefer .223 remington for the non messy kills if I am at 175 yards or less, but after that I am.308 all the way out.

Marlin 336C in .35REM. I did switch to a Remington 673 in .350 mag, but I haven't taken it hunting yet. I do most of my hunting with an 870 Wingmaster and Hastings Paradox barrel.
