Now the kids would be taken by the court and the father would be arrested and have to have all sorts psychological testing done.

when my elder offspring were in elementary school I remember going to their teachers and letting them know I would be taking them out of school for a week to go deer hunting with me. The teachers would make up a homework package. Doing homework in a little camper by the light of a Coleman lantern.

As a kid, I walked from our house to my Grandfathers farm, along the railroad tracks with a single shot .410 on my shoulder. Opening day of small game season was a holiday for me at my school. ( Parental permission, of course )

In all honesty, I had to search it out. The guy looks familiar, like a regular second banana cowboy actor.
