I have never really shot bows before but i think Recurve bows might be alot of fun.I am not really a fan of compound bows theres just to many parts and looks kinda easy even though i am sure its not.

I am not left handed but i am blind out of my right eye (hence the name uno_eye).

So basicly i was wondering anyone near or around the mid-michigan area has a left handed Recurve bow i could try to shoot before i spend good money on one.

Thanks MGO

There are a lot of archery events coming up in the state...go to one of them and you will be able to shoot all kinds of bows...both right and left handed. Most archers are more than willing to let someone shoot their bows and help you find the equipment that suits.

You might want to check out the MI forum on the Bowsite to get a listing of all the shoots available.

If you register and post there, you should be able to find someone local that has bow(s) to shoot and give assistance.

MI has a lot of archery groups, several dedicated to traditional archery: The Michigan Longbow Association and Traditional Bowhunters of Michigan. The Michigan Bowhunters Associaton site (http://www.michiganbowhunters.com/) has a listing of local clubs with contacts and events.

I'm right eye dominate, but can (and try)to shoot ambidextrously. Trad bows usually are shot without sights--instinctive targeting.
