Today this varmit met his demise at the end of a 380 PPK/s using Federal 95 gr PD round at 7 yds. Had 5 conibar traps stolen last year trying to catch this fellar on the farm, been trying to catch this woodchuck in the open for 2 yrs today he gave me a chance but all I had was the 380 but this was sufficient. http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a149/Fisherman_48768/Woodchuckvs380PPKs002.jpg This pest has put more holes under the barn, chicken coop, lumber pile and a pile of logs than you can imagine, no more.

That's good shooting, partner! I got one set up in my yard and I have been trying to get him for at least 6 years. I tried all kinds of traps and smoke bombs. The problem is that I live in the 'burbs and I can't shoot the SOB like you did.

Good Shooting!!

I once stalked one for 3 days before getting him with a .22 at close range. He never knew what hit him.

That also was in the city, but as long as you're not seen, you can get away with one shot from a .22. I had a good backstop also.

That's right, you gotta use CB 22s.

You should have put a scope on that PPK and you would have nipped him long ago...LOL

How many rounds did he take before he gave-up the ghost?

Single round, too dang hard to find ammo to waste.

Can't find one that will fit in my pocket with the PPK attached.

Yup, sufficient quantities to repel a woodchuck invasion, I been collecting for a while.

What you don't see in the photo is the back side of this bugger, one lobe of a lung was pulled out as the bullet exited. I'm impressed with the FC PD rounds.

Good kill.

You got one, but I bet a box of .380 ammo there are more.

I usally kill three a year around my barn, they love that clover, and mullberry tree.

It shouldn't be too hard to find somebody with a varmint set up that would love to eradicate your chuck population. If that is winter wheat behind you....they should be out on any warm sunny day and easy to spot while the wheat is low.

Hey now, just because something loves mulberries does not mean you have to shoot it! (I don't want to get shot while picking/eating mulberries :)). We used to have a mulberry tree next to our chicken coop... Dang coon would take her babies up the tree; fill up on berries and snag a chicken for the way home... Pesky coons...
