The cheaper ones went fast.

I already have a Winchester made in 1944, don't need another though I'm tempted to buy one as an investment.

I'm thinking that this is the first batch of surplus carbines to come back into the country in a long, long time. Many are early war guns, no bayonet lugs and haven't been refurbished. I suppose that adds to the value. I admit that the prices seem high to me as well, but once they're gone, they're gone. Ten years from now they will be selling for twice as much as they are now.

Apparently enough people thought they were worth what they were asking since they sold out in a few hours. And no, I didn't buy one.

Just at the midway site, they claim they are sold out of these guns.
