BobM, having some trouble finding info on the website.
Can you post some info on what time to show up, do we go to the clubhouse first or elsewhere and how much does it cost? Many thanks.

Swaker3333, MI3Gun.com Championship is this Sunday. Come check it out if you have never done it before (match is open to the public to watch). All range courses are going to be open with shooting of the normal rifle, pistol, and shotgun. In addition, competitors are shooting a .50 Cal (rumor was a M2 last I heard), something suppressed with subsonic rounds, and NVG will be used for one of the stages. Pumped to see what Brymer, Curt, and the rest have in store for us - they and Livingston Gun Club always put on great events. Heard good things about Bluewater's events as well (some of the guys we shoot with at LGC's events have also done Bluewater's). The most enjoyable competitive shooting there is, in my opinion, 3-Gun.

Sign up is around 9:00 a.m out back at the pole barn.
I believe it is $30 to shoot for non members.
here is the round count, since it is a year end shoot bring extra.

Gun carts are a good idea for lugging stuff around.
Pistol - 250 rds

Rifle - 100 rds

Shotgun - 50 rds bird / 5 rds slug / 10 rds buckshot

And Hungry howies will deliver pizza.

Wow! I didn't expect this kind of response! Saturdays my birthday so maybe I'll come out and watch blue waters competition with the old lady. I'd like to get into 3 gun by next spring, I just need to finish my collection and come up with a good setup.

Why wait till spring? ACTS shoots all year round.

As for a set up, gear is much less important than shooter skill. You'll need less stuff for ACTS than 3 guns as well. Whatever you don't have we can scrounge up for you.

Hell just put the mags in your pocket if you need to...I wore my daily CC rig for ACTS, except I added a single rifle mag carrier. Had no problems at all.

I'm hoping there's an ACTS match during a major snowstorm or something...that would be fun.

I always put my mags in my pocket, as I do not yet have a carrier. You could go without a holster at SLOC, but you would have to transport to and from the place you stand with a case, which is not a biggy at all.

Happy Birthday,
Your welcomed to shoot my guns if your comfortable doing so, just bring ammo, email me if interested.

along the same lines as everyone else don't focus on the gear, I like everyone else started with mags in my pocket.

there are a few pictures from a polar shoot we host every winter, these are from a few years ago. started as -2 degs, high of 10.
Look on the website under pictures. I have some on my computer from another one with 2' of snow, I'll try to post one if I can figure out how.

Last year there was an ACTS match that snowed 12" from the time I showed up until the time we left. I swore I had pics somewhere but I can't find them. People's times got much slower and the snow got deeper. :)

Come shoot at SLOC with us, I don't think it is 2 hours, but unfortunately not to much closer.
