so i got a Pietta Colt 1860 Army used...
has anyone got a source online for tearing it down for cleaning and loading?
how about some load data (.44) or should i post that in the reloading forum?

These are THE top places for parts and info....
Load data is pretty much 20 - 40 grains of BP, over a ball.

i own one ..best load ive ever done is 35grs of fffg ,and a fiber wad and ball..use a magnium percussion cap no.11..at this load it will shoot good out to 50 yards on the sights..and lube the ball up with wonderlube 1000..hold on cause they have a bit more kick at 35grns than 15grs...

Here's a good video for loading. I made myself a nice stand after watching this.
The only thing he's not doing that they recommend is buttering (covering the projectile with a grease) the cylinder to prevent chain firing.
