I cant remember how old kids have to be to take hunters saftey. My son is 10 and he has expressed interest in hunting and i want to take him to get his hunters saftey certificate so he can go with me. Anyone know the rules on age for hunters saftey?

I'm a Hunter Safety Educator. We can place no minimum age requirement to take the class. As long as the student can sit through the presentations and not be disruptive, they are welcome in any class that Pam and I teach.

Since he is 10, he is eligible for a small game license. He is also able to purchase an apprentice license without first taking HS. Our next class is October 10-11 at the Hillsdale County Conservation Club www.hillsdalerifleclub.com

Sorry, but you are wrong. If we deny access to the class or refuse to certify them upon successful completion, we can have our credentials yanked by the state. There is no minimum age for a student to take hunter education.
