I know times are really rough right now. MGO and the FRNA could use your support. These banquets help support the women on target events held in Michigan, The fund youth shooting events and various clubs as well as MGO get grants to fund programs like safe storage and that helps improve the image for gun owners over all. Please take some time and some funds to break bread with fellow firearms owners and protectors of the 2nd amendment cause. The NRA has generously gave us a package worth over 10 grand to give away. I will say there are some really choice guns and other items up for grabs. Right now your odds are great since we have sold very few tickets. If you live in S.E Michigan this ones for you.

I would like to personally thank everyone who helped to pull this fine event together. Particularly our committee members (FBuckner, UTPD5, NickS, Joeywhat and Johnzilla). Special thanks also goes out to Chewy from Gun Barn 2 who was our FFL for the evening and worked hard doing our transfers and also ponied up a couple of very nice firearms for the Patriot Raffle. The event was a great success!!! Our inaugural banquet made over $1000 for FNRA, and a LOT of guns were given away (you had better than a 1 in 5 chance of taking home a gun!!! I want to point out that our furthest traveled guest (Cherokee) was rewarded for making the drive with a nice pistola (I'm sure pics and gloating will be forthcoming...as is required in "Man Law"). Additionally, our very own PhotoTom took home some hardware. Nice to see the folks who work so hard for the organization being rewarded. If you missed it, fear not, for we are already building toward next years event. We signed our charter for 2010 and will be polling to see where we should host the event. Some of us are leaning toward a spring event (April/May), but are open to suggestions as well. If you have a group of 4-6 people you can pull together as a committee to help run the event in your area, let us know (I will go anywhere in the state if I have the help). For a first year committee to do as well as we did speaks volumes about MGO's commitment to the shooting sports and educating youth and women. Usually these banquets don't make money their first year, but we did!!!

Again, thanks to all who attended!!!
