long distance airguns

i know my pellet rifle is not the best but how far do you all shoot at targets...i have got a 3-9 scope on my crosman quest 1000 and i can hit a paper plate at 150 yards.. with every shot..its freeking me out how these rifles can shoot so good...the pellet drop is quiet a bit but my mill dots are there for that im going to try a 200 yard steel plate 18"x18" at that distanc energy must be around .25 lbs lol...but enough to hear a ting..

I have several air rifles that will shoot lights out at really long distances. They are 3000psi or more. They are also very addicting to own and shoot. It got to the point that I ended up getting a 4500psi air compressor to fill my 4500psi 88CF tank. I have killed crows often past 100 yards with single shot kills.
You are 100% right about using Mil-dot scopes. They make a world of difference. I have taken a very nice buck with one shot. I saw a person shoot a very large Elk with one shot from a pellet gun.
These guns are not the type that a child would take out and shoot. They are highly, very highly tuned weapons!!

Before anyone calls BS on Bluewing, you need to know that you can get airguns in various calibers up to .50, and they do deliver the heat.

Airguns these days ain't nothing like the Red Ryder you grew up with. :wink:

Just watch the ammo. They can be very sensitive to the cheap stuff.
