I can work Friday 11-5 with Tallbear... Matt If this is not the place to ask, I will delete it, but can we CC there? Thanks..Matt

We are asked time and time again about CC at the shows...I have never worked that show, but, can tell you that I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to CC. Unless it is an entertainment complex.

As for working, got ya! Thanks.

I've been in contact with Tallbear and would like to work the booth on Saturday. Near as I can tell I've got the whole day open and would work two shifts (preferably 9-1 & 1-5) so as to earn my membership in MGO. If this is all good, let me know.

Information and membership. We will also be informing businesses of the advertising opportunities and clubs about the affiliation.

I have planned to take vacation and help out on this. I have 4 weeks worth to use before I get another 4 in August, and my wife only has 4 days:-(

Let me know how I can help, never have worked one of these, but I have done it for my company, so I know how much fun they can be. I can fill in any days, but longer contiguous periods are better, as it's still a ways away for me.

Do I need to view the training video?

The video is a good starting point. It won't take long to get comfortable working the booth.

Hay I am just a little confused about this so please enlighten me... Your asking for us West Siders to help out and I think thats a good thing. I want to help but I have never done this before so here are just a few questions that immediately come to mind...

#1... you have the schedule .. do you need 1 or 2 or ??? people in each time slot

#2... do you care that the person just happens to be an MGO member and may not be a fanatical gun carrying person (in either direction)???

#3... is there a training we go through to tell a similiar story or are we really more all about the web site and guns and lets get more members?

#4... do I still have to pay to get in or do you have me on some list at the door that says I am working the booth???

#5... if I am working the booth is there some higher benefit than just being a helper??? like a free MGO pencil or sticker or something?

I would like to help out and sign up but I am not sure that I want to be a lone ranger working a booth at the show....

Lets show our East side gun brothers that we can person a booth on our side of the state... :grouphug: :multi: :multi:

You can learn as you go alone.

There's a video link you can check out on the message board.

Booth workers get in free the day they work.

You get a "ticket" for a gun drawing at the end of the year for every 4 hours you work.

I don't believe you can CC at the show. They have signs at the entrance saying no loaded firearms, or something to that effect. They also invoke the more than 2,500 people clause, and they ask every person if they have any firearms.

If someone knows different please post.

I was at the show all four days last year and no one asked me if I was carrying and I saw no sign.

You may be correct. I had the wrong show. I was referring to the gun show at the deltaplex. Helps if I read the 1st post.

Hi There,
I would love to help you out on this one but I just can't make it. I would like to offer my services though. My wife and I host the Freedom Festival, in Tawas, each year and would love to help with an MGO event if ever you would like to reach those of us on the east side of northern Michigan.
Our last event included the NRA and Michigan Open Carry. It was a real success. MGO may even just look at taking part in the Freedom Fest, July 3rd and 4th. But a stand alone event may be bigger.
Just let me know

Look forward to seeing everyone briefly Friday, all day Saturday and again towards the end on Sunday.

Mark, I will drive out and help with the booth tear-down. I've got a sick K9 at home and couldn't take a full shift in the booth on top of the 4-5 hour round trip drive time. I'll be there between 4 and 4:30 if that is OK.

I had a great time working the booth yesterday. It was great getting out the word that we're here a working for gun owners of all types accross the state. It was, also, great to meet both Mark and Chris. I look forward to seeing you guys again at the open shoot and meeting in April.

On a side note, if you guys need a little more help closing down the show and/or booth, you can call me at 616-291-3732.

Thanks, again, to all who worked the booth this weekend to make the Ultimate Sport Show a success for MGO.

We finished VERY strong with the great help of Kc8opc and buddhabassman distributing almost as many membership brochures Sunday as we did all three days prior combined. They and my wife were also the secret ingredient to being loaded and on the road twenty minutes after the show closed. Many people were made aware of MGO and the educational programs we make available for the first time due to EVERYONE's efforts.
THANK YOU ALL!

WillIBeReady, Kc8opc and buddhabassman we will get your time noted and your entries into the GOY drawing logged; Cumminatcha I am waiting to hear whether Nick should process your membership or you decided to pay and take your two GOY entries instead.

Again - THANKS to all that helped get this together again this year.
