open sights, offhand, 50' on a 50' targets...

these particular targets would normally be shot with either 1 or 2 rounds depending on how many bulls are on a sheet of paper...

we dont shoot 'matches' so we just practice. and practice and practice and practice...

its easier to see 'groups' if you put more than one round per bull and its less time spent going down range...

the black bull is 1-1/2" in diameter. i shoot with a couple of guys who just leave a jagged hole in the 10-8 rings...

Open sights, off hand?
Nice Shootin' Tex!
I MIGHT be able to do that well w/ a scope...
Was shooting my PC-9 (9mm Ruger carbine) w/ peeps at 50' at a 6" spot at Bald Mtn on Sat, my sorry eyes could hardly see THAT at 50'...

these bulls mimic the same bullseye at 200, 300 or 600 yards...

A-36?, A-17?

Open sights? Get a peep/Globe set up

Very good shooting. At beginning small bore levels, it is usually 5 shots per bull. An A-17 has 10 scoring bulls plus a sighter, you can put a whole box of ammo on one sheet.

A-17...

or an older version of it. this particular target was about 40yrs old and made super round holes with the 'ball' ammo...

the Mossberg M44 came with a peep (mossberg S-100) rear sight and a blade up front. they were used in the Navy in boot camp at one time...
