Hypothetically speaking...

if a racoon chewed a hole through the door of your grandpa's garage, destroyed the ceiling, destroyed the insulation, knocked every frickin thing off of the shelves, AND gave birth to 5 or 6 babies in a garbge can...

Which would be you're preferred method of extermination?

.380, 9mm, .45, shotgun, or .22?

Hypothetically speaking we used the .22, almost went for the .380, but worried about over penetration, backstop would have been cement block and steel racking.

Hypothetically speaking, of course, it sounds like the problem is fixed.

:D

Depending on the neighbors, .22 would be sufficient but .410 would be a lot more fun.

yeah a little close quarters too..it's legal to fire a weapon where he lives..but neighbors a little close..figured some 12ga buckshot woulda took care of it okay...and it's gonna rain so clean up would be a breeze

I had trouble with racoons for several months. Living in the city I could not use a gun. An old roomate (from farm country) said to fill a aluminum pie plate with bacon grease soaked sponge squares (approx 1 inch square). The racoon will eat them and trot off, never to be seen again. A little inhumane (is that a word?), but if you went through the trouble I did, you would be satuisfied. (Of course, my particular 'coon decided to trpt off and die underneath my deck. Unable to get at the carcas, we didn't use the deck for a while)

Antifreeze works good too in the city. just keep your dogs and cats... well, dogs in at night and son't let them drink it. works on cats too.

my preference is .45 but I live in the sticks so I can get away with it. sides I am partial to that weapon.

I live on a canal. I trap and drown the little buggers.

The last 'coon to die around here ate part of my neighbor's life jackets last winter. I let him borrow my hose to clean up the (months-long) mess!

Nice Guy!

I would have let the Saint Bernard, Lab, and mutt play.
